• Roku works differently than the conventional cable/satellite. You go to the Home screen (using the Roku remote), select the channel (Prime, Netflix, Roku, Hulu, etc.) you have subscribed to (some with a cost, some free), then you select the program you want to watch. The remote is what is used to change the channels, you just don't browse up and down or use a Guide key.
