Please try again later.No. You sign up for a Roku account online while you are setting it up and you can manage your channels and apps there but it is all free, no paid subscriptions required. There is some content that you can subscribe to and pay for, but the majority of what I think most people would use is free. And it is good about asking you before it charges you for anything. You can even set up a purchase PIN so you don't accidentally buy/subscribe to something you don't want, or if you have kids then they can't charge stuff without your PIN.
