• Yes it does control the volume and the button is on the side of the remote.

• Don't know about the plus but the controller does work the TV power and volume.

• Yes. There is a volume control (up/ down) on the side of the remote. The ROKU remote learns your television's code by itself. Turns TV on and off as well as controls volume. Very well thought out product and simple to use. Remote could be bigger and available in another color besides black. Hard to find in the dark.
