Hi! Sorry to hear your having some concerns about your Roku Streaming Stick remote. When setting up your Roku voice remote, your Roku device uses a discovery process called pairing to detect a new remote and create the direct wireless connection. If your voice remote came in the box with your Roku device, you likely completed this pairing process during the initial setup and activation. If after you've completed the setup and the Voice Remote indicator light continues to flash you'll want to take the following troubleshooting steps. Start by opening the battery compartment and remove the batteries from your Roku Voice Remote. In addition remove the power cable from your Roku device, wait 5 seconds and then re-connect the power cable. Then wait until your Roku device displays the home screen. From here reinsert the batteries into your remote.Wait at least 30 seconds to see if your remote establishes a connection with your Roku device. Confirm by pressing the voice button and looking for a status indicator on your TV screen. If there is no response re-pair your Roku Voice Remote by pressing and holding the pairing button for 5 seconds until the status light starts flashing green. If the light does not flash, try again. If the light still does not flash replace the batteries. You can also try moving your Streaming Stick away from the HDMI connector on your TV by installing a free extension cable available here https://my.roku.com/hdmi.
