Does it need it? That is up to you. Roku offers a lot more Smart Features and channels (apps) than even your Samsung Blueray player. In short Roku offers all the basic apps like Netflix and Hulu but over 10,000 more. There is a lot of free content from The Roku Channel for customers looking to cut the cord.
