- Answer Hi DP! You do not need a smart TV to use Roku. All current Roku devices work with any TV that has an HDMI port. In addition, you will need to have internet access to stream on your Roku device.

- Answer Yes it should work. The Roku device plugs into the usb outlet on your television. You then have to connect it to your wifi network. It will use the internet to stream the content. It does not require a cable wire to work.
