A Roku device doesn't have the antenna necessary to pick up local broadcast channels. You would need a broadcaster the streams their feed in your area. For local channels something like a Mohu Leaf antenna is good and compact if you have a decent signal.

Please try again later.Hello doob, The Roku Ultra uses WiFi to connect to many streaming platforms ranging from paid subscriptions like Netflix and Hulu to free live tv and on demand movies/tv shows on The Roku Channel. Whether or not we have your local channels depends on where you live, Most major cities new stations have their own apps or can be seen on the Roku Channel but if you're not in a major city you can try the Haystack App. There is no DVR on Roku.
