Hello Al, this depends on where you live, some news channels have apps of their own or are shown within apps such as PBS, ABC, or Fox where as some cities don’t have any news channels that have their own app. You can try downloading Haystack as this app gives you local news but everyone’s mileage may vary.

Not unless you subscribe to a service that provides that this does not do any off the air reception
