- Answer A Roku device doesn't have the antenna necessary to pick up local broadcast channels. You would need a broadcaster the streams their feed in your area. For local channels something like a Mohu Leaf antenna is good and compact if you have a decent signal.

- Answer Hello Al, this depends on where you live, some news channels have apps of their own or are shown within apps such as PBS, ABC, or Fox where as some cities don’t have any news channels that have their own app. You can try downloading Haystack as this app gives you local news but everyone’s mileage may vary.
