• No fee to use a Roku - it's similar to an Amazon Firestick in that regard. As long as you have internet service you can use Roku to connect to YouTube and other places. You do not have to watch anything "live" that you don't want to - it all depends on your cable/satellite/internet options, which are separate from Roku.

• No fees with Roku. There are apps that charge you a per month fee….Netflix, Disney +, Hulu..etc.
