• Monthly charges are on the stream services (apps - like Netflix, Hulu, etc). The device itself does not come with a charge. There are also lots of apps that have free TV options, and the Roku device will help you find them.

• Hello Bulgie, No there is no monthly fee for using Roku or the Roku Channel. The monthly fees come from any apps who charge for their services such as netflix and disney. There is plenty of free content with over 350 free live tv channels on the Roku Channel.
