I use a charging cable. I wasn't aware the remote I have has rechargeble batteries?? My Apple Ipod touch cable works just fine. I simply insert the cable end for the remote into the Ipod cable plug and plug it in. I was surprised at how many days of use I get from one charge. the one weird thing about the remote is it has a chemical smell ????
