• The Roku stays on, even if you click on the Power button on the remote (it only shuts down the TV). At least that's my experience.

• I do unless I turn off the audio system. The other thing you can do is not turn the Roku off while something is playing - instead, before you turn it off, hit the home button to go back to the main screen and the audio will stop playing.
