In my case, I have a similar system. My Sony AV unit has multiple HDMI connections on the back and I just devoted the ROKU to one of those ports.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as you still have an open HDMI on your receiver and you TV is HD Ultra you can add the Roku Ultra. If Your TV is not an HDR Ultra. Use the Premier Roku and not the Ultra. Hoping that this answers your question
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ROKU Box replaces the “cable” as a source for the TV. Plug it in to the same place the “cable” was connected to. If you are using it as a second source, select any available HDMI port or any TV IN port for the connection. The ROKU folks are also available to walk you through this if my thoughts don’ work for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Roku is always attached to an HDMI port on the back of the TV regardless of how your sound system is setup. So you would have to use the roku stick remote to chose what you want to watch but after that all the sound would come out through the TV to the receiver as it always does. I wanted my roku to turn on my TV so I let it do it but they may have been an option not to have it turn it on.
