Roku 3 only supports up to 1080p. New Roku units support up to 4k.

Please try again later.The Roku Ultra supports 4K content so you would end up with a better quality picture for programming in that format, and even on our old, non-4K tv I noticed that the picture quality was improved. Otherwise, I haven't really noted a huge difference in anything. It does load Channels a little faster, but the difference in load times are literally seconds.
