I have spectrum cable and through the free downloadable app I get those channels, provided your talking about CBS, ABC, fox, NBC, etc. I also get a vast number of the other channels that I usually watch through calls on my tv.

No! You will need an OTA (over the air antenna) to get local channels. Depending on which streaming service you buy, (Sling, PlayStation Vue) and your location, you may get a feed of local/national networks, except CBS
