• If your drives are reachable on your network, you can use Plex (a Roku channel) to stream the files.

• The execution of this is a bit more complicated, and you might want to do a web search for all the details. The short answer is that you should be a able to stream from your router IF it is a DLNA server. I use Plex media server installed on my desktop, and the Plex app on the Roku--much better solution--works fantastic.
