The stick is suited for shorter range and should work well in most applications assuming you have a decent router/signal. I would guess that if you go out around 50 ft use a standard Roku and if 60ft, use an Ultra. This is my wireless setup. Good Luck
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you don't care about choices of channels, speed of use with the remote, and connection speed, buy the stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has USB (works with USB sticks or Hard drives to play your content). Stick does not. It has Ethernet port for increased speeds when playing ripped 4K blu rays. Wireless interface on stick cannot keep up. Works (I believe) with a third party IR remote, the stick will not work with my Harmony remote. Can be placed where a small fan can cool it, stick runs hot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We had a roku express in our basement where the internet atrength isnt that great. I bought a roku ultra to see if it would be any better and it is SOOOOO much stronger. It’s even much stronger than an express that sits right next to our router. If signal strength and picture quality is an issue for for you, then the Ultra will be worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.because the Ultra is the only option in their line that can be connected wired instead of wireless. also planning on getting 4K TV this year and the Ultra will support that TV when I upgrade
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not answering the question, but asking one. I have the Roku Ultra. Have a problem with intermittent loss of sound and sometimes a program is out of sync (like watching a dubbed Japanese movie LOL). Very disappointed. I have an HD TV, Thought maybe the Ultra would only work with 4K TVs, or did I get a lemon?
