“Is this replacement remote RF or IR? If this remote is RF then it will be a Godsend. The IR remote that originally shipped with my TCL 55S515 TV SUCKS! Its the weakest link in the TV.”

• This remote is RF, only RF Roku remotes have voice search key, and the microphone to go with it.

• RF.....much nicer. That's the main reason I bought it. No more pointing the cheap TCL IR remote at all angles to get it to work...buttons on this remote are nice and quiet as well...worth 20-30.

• The remote is their RF remote, but technically it’s IR and RF. The IR transmitter can be programmed to control legacy IR devices like a TV, the RF connection is just for the Roku box itself.
