Not sure about weight but it's not "heavy" and it works on every kind of carpet I have, low to medium pile and hardwood and tile.

I'm not sure exactly how much it weighs but it is definitely easy to use on all surfaces. There is a "high" and "low" carpet setting. On "high", the vacuum moves itself with little to no effort from you. It's so easy to use that I have it on this setting even for my hard floor surfaces.

The vacuum itself is a little heavy but the suction is so strong, the hardest part is actually pulling back. It almost feels like it is self propelled.

The whole vacuums weighs about 10-12 lbs I think. I have trouble vacuuming, so my husband vacuums for me. He has no problems vacuuming the whole house. If I had to do it , it would be a little heavy since I have rheumatoid arthritis.
