QuestionDoes this unit have to be have a drain hose to the outside or is it a self-evaporative unit, meaning its condensation is taken care of internally.

- Answer No, this unit does not have a drain hose. You will have to drain it manually by removing the caps on the bottom of the unit and tilting it back to get all of the moisture out.

QuestionBesides plugging the unit in, is there any other connections. My mother has a portable A/C and had to have a hole cut in her Bay window for tubing from A/C to go out window.

- Answer It has a 4 inch wide tube to vent its hot exhaust air, so you will need to connect it outside. I use a window opened to rest on top of the vent. No problem.
