• From what I can tell it does not have any heating element.

• I used hot water. I do not believe it actually heats the water.

• Only as hot as you use. This is not a steamer and has no heating element.

• The machine is not a steam cleaner, it does not produce heat. You would want to use warm water for the machine. Do not use boiling water due to the plastic would crack/melt if water is too hot.
