Rylo was bought out by VSCO and is no longer in the hardware business. There remaining inventory will be sold by Best Buy at a discount. According to the reports, the software will be available for download through 01/31/2021 and remain active beyond that date. But the camera is no longer being made and I wouldn't expect there to be any more updates to the firmware. They will honor the 1yr warranty, but after that, you are on your own. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say "buyer beware" with this new price. This is probably the blow out price to get rid of the rest of the inventory. Rylo has been unresponsive to my recent questions and the store on their website appears to be shut down. The link to purchase the camera from their website redirects here. I suspect Rylo as a company is in trouble. I hope not, because i do like the camera. It takes amazing, smooth footage. They recently updated the firmware to allow 5.8k footage. You can shoot in either 4k or 5.8k. I'm guessing the spec sheet hasn't been updated.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will record in 5.8K with the latest firmware update. You can switch between 4K and 5.8K. I think it runs hotter and drains the battery quicker in 5.8K. The sale price was so good, I questioned if it was an older model .....but it wasn't !! I love it so far. A lot of fun just trying to figure out ways to use it!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, I own the camera and it records in not only 4K, but you also have the option for 5.8k too. I bought the Rylo when Best Buy offered it as the deal of the day. I love Best Buy!! Is normally $500 and on sale right now for $400 but couple days ago it was on sale for $200 and I bought right away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it records in 5.8k and 4k. It gives you the option to do both.
