A:AnswerNot bad, I dropped it once and it landed on the corner. The phone didn't have a scratch on it. The cover actually has a hard back plate that snaps on and sticks out around the phone vs being flush with the edge all the way around.

There are some cases out there that have the clip built in though so best to check for one of those if that method of carrying your device is what you prefer.
