If it is the same size I would think it would work. I will be honest I don't consider myself a tech expert, but SATA drives haven't changed much in design far as I know. Best of luck to you!! Hope you find your photos!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Once you plug the older HD into this, it connects to your newer PC and can act as an external drive. But i would pull all wanted files from the older drive, then transfer them to a smaller, easier to use/larger space HD.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Conceptually, it would work like an external drive, but a drive from an old Windows 98 PC is most likely using an IDE interface instead of SATA. There are other devices that will connect to the older drives, but this one won't.
