A:AnswerI have dropped mine several times and it has not opened. As far as being thrown by a three year old, I haven’t tried that yet. Lol. The top part is a separate piece and is not connected to the bottom. I have enjoyed this case much more than the last three that I have gone through. This one has been a keeper for me!
