• Yes.. the light will come on when door is opened as well as stay on during cooking... It is just not very bright

• Yes, the light (upper right corner, closest to the door), comes on when you open the door and it stays on when cooking. I should note that the door window is so dark that it's hard to see the light and what is inside during the cooking cycle...
