- Answer Yes, it can. I have it without a vent. It vents out the top front. It can also be used with a vent out the back, or top in back.

- Answer Yes, but electrical code regulations usually state a raised box in upper cabinet that is easily accessible. It would be a safety concern if it was hardwired. Also, it needs a dedicated circuit with 12 gauge wire. Possibly hire an electrician if needed.

Outside top exhaust (vertical duct) b. Recirculating (non-vented ductless) c.
