• Hi Juno, although the microwave cannot be truly a builtin microwave; the trim kit will give your microwave a stylish, built-in look, while also saving you valuable countertop space. The microwave still requires 4 inches in the back and both sides along with 8 inches on top for adequate ventilation. ^Rosi
