QuestionIs the turntable removable and can you turn it off- so it doesn't rotate?

- Answer Turntable can be turn off, excellent feature. Someone wanted to know why one would need to do this. Well if you are using a rectangular pan of a great enough diamention the turntable will be rotating but the pan will crashing in to the inside of the oven. Hope this clears that up.

QuestionCabinet opening dimensions for trim kit?I'm trying to design new cabinets that will hold this microwave, using the available trim kit. It looks like the trim kit is intended for use in a 30" wide cabinet unit, but I cannot find any information on the recommended width and height of the rough opening in the cabinetry, or details on how the trim kit is installed. Anyone have hands-on experience with the trim kit for this microwave?

- Answer DO NOT buy trim kit - This model IS NOT to be installed in a cabinet, etc After reading other answers I can verify that I contacted Samsung today and they verified that this microwave can NOT be installed inside anywhere and that the trim kit advertised for use with the item is NOT for use with this item (unless you just want to add a useless piece of metal to the outside of your microwave.) This microwave is NOT designed to be "installed" in a cabinet, etc. It is designed to be placed ON a counter top with at least 8" above it - but better to have nothing above it. The rep stated that they need to update the website but based on what I have read and seen I do not think that is going to happen so understand what you are buying and what you are NOT buying.

- Answer I have mine placed in an oversized cabinet allowing venting around the edges and at the top. This cabinet is above my double oven. This seems to work during the times I have worked the convection process several times in which the appliance cools itself off after convection use. I have had the convection up to 450 degrees with no problem so far.

QuestionI am looking for a bottom or right hinge counter top microwave, is this bottom?

- Answer Yes. It's a bottom-hinged door. Please note that if you plan to use this on a countertop, then the door is fine. But if you put it on a shelf that is higher up than a countertop, you will have to lift cookware above the open door and up into the oven. If you're not over 6' tall, it can be very hard to do.

- Answer Yes the manual has instructions for making toast. It took roughly 5 minutes and only one side really browned.

- Answer Yes, this is a counter top microwave. I would be careful mounting to the wall as the door opens down and not to the side, so it needs to be low enough that you can reach in and not touch the door when taking things out.

Questionis this require a 220 wire?

- Answer No. this oven requires a 110 Volt 15 Amp power line. This means that you can use 110V with this oven, but it must be a dedicated line with no other devices/outlets on the line. When using the grilling feature, this oven draws 1600 Watts of power and will trip the breaker if any other devices are in use concurrently with this oven.

Question1. I have a butcher block counter top that this will sit on. I was wondering if it gets hot on the outside and underneath. I am also worried my grandchildren will touch the outside. 2. Does this unit need its own circuit?

- Answer This unit does not need it's own circuit. Mine is plugged into one of the kitchen outlets and I have not had any issue with blowouts. As for the heat, the instructions does have some recommended space constraints on how close side/top walls/cabinets should be. The biggest one is the top side which need almost 8 inches to be safe. The front door does not get to hot but the left side (metal) does get fairly hot. Not enough to burn you, but you(grandkids) probably do not want to touch for long. Underneath does not seem to be an issue even the back does not seem to put out much heat. Please note, it is like an oven so when the front door is open, it does put out a lot of heat and trays, food, etc are going to be hot if you are cooking/microwaving/grilling on high heat.

- Answer Our unit was defective. Maybe yours is too. The authorized Samsung repair tech who worked on our unit said he believed that the model itself is a defective design. So, if you followed the instructions in the manual and it still isn't working, it may be defective. Call Samsung, if you've not done so already.

QuestionWhat are the interior dimensions of the oven?

- Answer The width and depth of the opening is about 15 1/2 inches. But you need to keep in mind that there is a turntable which is just under 15 inches and if you take out the rim actually has about 14 + inches of usable space across, so will hold only about a 9 × 9 square pan not a 9 x 13. I wouldn't put anything taller than about 7 inches in it our you might run into issues with top burner.

- Answer http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201904/20190417133913565/MC12J8035CT_AA_DE68-04367A-04_EN.pdf User manual p. 16 shows how to use convection mode. There are TWO ways to change the time. The +30 seconds works, but farther left on the panel are up/down arrows. Those go by minutes. Press/hold the up arrow to get to 60 minutes. (Although you must have good eyes -- and plenty of light OR a flashlight -- to be able to see! I also have a dot of White Out on some of the panel button locations so I can see the location if the room is not very bright.) Have FUN with your new oven. We reallllly enjoy ours! Good luck.

- Answer Hold the up ^ button for a few seconds until the clock blinks, this will put it into set up mode. you can then adjust the hour and minute by pressing up or down, then press OK when done.
