IS THERE VENTILATION? null

My old microwave had an exhaust vent going outside and this connected right into it. You could also use the self venting charcoal filter if you don’t vent outside.

Yes. It is under the microwave and should be vented to the outside. If you are replacing an over-the-rage microwave, the vent should already be there.
