I can't speculate as to the cause or what coverage you might have available on your model, but would suggest contacting Samsung for assistance determining what your service options may be. The current line-up of Samsung Microwaves includes a 10-year warranty on the magnetron part in addition to the one year parts & labor on manufacturing defects. Thank you, Ms. Samsung
