The SMH1713W can be set up to vent outside from the rear or top of the unit, or filtered air can be recirculated into the room from vents located in the front that are concealed from view. If you plan to vent outside, you may need to purchase the exhaust ducting material separately. I would suggest contacting your local Best Buy Appliance Associates or Installation Team for assistance determining which type of venting best suits your needs, and what materials will be needed.
