I just installed mine. (MC17F808KDT/AA) It replaced my GE Profile microwave that stopped working. The GE bracket was actually sturdier, but exactly the same as to the slots that fit into the back of the new Samsung microwave. So, it was a simple switch. However, according to Samsung, mounting brackets for this model varied from model year to model year. So, replacing it with even a newer version of the same model might require a bracket change. (I wish I could find or quote the Samsung support person for you, where i first read this)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The installer drilled in an extra bracket when he put it up. Said it was needed to hold in place. Seems pretty solid.

While I can't tell you whether the particular template used for these models is the same, there's a good chance that any model you choose could require a different template, so I would suggest choosing the model that best meets your needs from a feature standpoint. Thank you! Ms. Samsung
