• We do ... It works fine, We hooked up the exhaust so it would blow back into the room.

• Thank you for the question. The SMH9187ST is designed to be mounted to surfaces behind it (like a wall) and above it (like a cabinet) and should not be used sitting on a counter top. However, if you'd like to mount it above a counter rather than over a range, that's fine, as long as it isn't resting on the surface beneath it. - Ms. Samsung
