QuestionDimensions?Does the depth dimension include the handle or is it just for the "body" of the unit?

- Answer The body of the SMH9187 is about 15-1/4" deep, with the hidden vent adding about 1/2" to the depth at the top edge of the microwave. The handle is approximately 2" deep at the midpoint. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

Questiondoes this unit have to vent outside? Or can you use a charcoale filter?

- Answer No it does not, all you have to do is turn the fan around (there are directions) and you can just recirculate the air in the house. It comes with the charcoal filter as well so that is great. It works really well recirculating the air, I was impressed.
