• No it does not, all you have to do is turn the fan around (there are directions) and you can just recirculate the air in the house. It comes with the charcoal filter as well so that is great. It works really well recirculating the air, I was impressed.

• It comes with a charcoal filter, and does not require an outside vent. Do read the directions and rotate the fan before installation if you do not intend to connect to an outside vent.
