Samsung microwave How do I use the timer and cook at same time?

This is hard to believe. I had a 12 year old Maytag that died, and got this as replacement. This Samsung has less wattage, so takes longer to heat things up. And you can’t even use the timer in conjunction with using the microwave. Again, my 12 year old Maytag did that. Seems like Samsung is turning the clock back here. Everyone in the house has tried it, and couldn’t do. We were certain there was a way. Nope. Ridiculous

This microwave can't operate the timer and the microwave at the same time.

You can't. We asked Samsung Customer Service, got an answer we didn't believe and then went back into Best Buy and the salesman asked/called around and we were told this is the new standard - that you can't use them both at the same time. The stove has a timer that can be used (and cook at the same time), but not the microwave. Why it was made this way, I don't know. We thought ours was originally broke, but not so.

Very disappointed with this Samsung microwave.  We had an old GE that ran circles around this Samsung.  You can't use the microwave while the timer is running?  Come on.  This is 2022.  How backwards can you go?
Thinking of re-installing my old GE at this point.

What a disappointing piece of crap this turned out to be. Will not buy any Samsung appliances again!

While, as someone said, what a piece of CRAP. Samsung, that will be the end of anything by that name. STUPID Minds. I can' t believe it. Unfortunately, mine is only 2 months old. My only salvation is pray for major component to go, maybe.

Yep, I'm with every commenter on here. Replaced a 20yo GE with a Samsung ME17R7021ES. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves regarding how they made their software so stupid; no immediate cook times from the number panel, not allowing timer and cooking to happen simultaneously, not allowing "done" chime to sound until you take care of things. What a bunch of clowns in their human factors department!!
