Q: QuestionInput?Does this system not have any sort of inputs except for audio? So you can not use the surround sound with video game systems? No HDMI in? Can't use the surround sound with my roku player? Or would I be able to have the video cable go to my TV from the Roku; and have the two audio cables go from Roku to the Blu-ray player while Blu-ray player would go HDMI to my TV?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer This model has audio inputs with an AUX-In (RCA) and a digital optical audio input. If that's not enough inputs for what you need, Samsung does make models that have more inputs, however, they will be higher models and priced slightly higher. For instance, the HT-E5500 has 2 HDMI-Inputs that you can use for Roku or the Blu-Ray player. Maybe that might be a better model to check out if you want some HDMI inputs. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+1000W+5.1-Ch.+3D+/+Wi-Fi+Blu-ray+Home+Theater+System/4789967.p?id=1218527810164&skuId=4789967&st=ht-e5500&cp=1&lp=2 Thanks for reaching out to us. Q: QuestionDoes this home theater system require a 3D TV?In the overview it says "To build a complete 3D home theater system, you'll also need a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV and a high-speed HDMI cable." Does that mean it requires a 3D TV or just mean that it is optimized for a 3D TV?
Asked by cigga.
- A:Answer You can use 2D with any model of Samsung Blu-Ray player. If you want 3D, you will need the player to communicate properly with the TV and the active shutter glasses. So a quick summary: you can watch 2D with any TV, or 3D with a "3D television" using this Home Theater system.
