QuestionI have an opening width of 24-1/2" with a side wall extending forward on the side I'd like to have the fridge hinge. How much clearance does the hinge side need from the side wall so that the door opens properly? Thanks

- Answer Hi There, Thanks for asking! Allow 2.5 inches of clearance on the hinge side of the refrigerator when installing next to a wall where the handle may make contact. Have a great day. ^Chrystel

- Answer My understanding was that an ice maker is optional but looking through the User Manual there is no reference to an ice maker. We didn't want one so we didn't look into it. We purchased for extra storage only and are very happy with it.

Still, noises from your ice maker or the compressor should never get so loud that it's interrupting a conversation. We do not have the information as to the refrigerators DB(A). Page 17 has a diagram with the necessary dimensions to fully open the door. Also, page 26 has instructions on how to reverse the door to open the other direction if that is preferable. ^Jecca
