The measurements of this freezer are true. It does get warm on the sides when it is working to stay cold and of course on the back where the cooling system is. We have ours in a space that allows 2” of room on each side and 3.5 on the back. Not closed off and open on top. They need room to breath. Very please with this unit. Looks and works great.

Hi Kt,

This is a good question Kt about the space the Samsung refrigerator model needs for optimum operation.

The space on each side, left and right, the back side, and top side is more than 2 inches. It can go in an open (no door) closet.
