• A:Answer Excellent question! This model is all one compartment that can either be set to Freezer Mode or Fridge Mode. In Freezer mode, you can set the temperature between 5 °F (-15 °C) and -8 °F (-23 °C). In Fridge mode, you can set the temperature between 44 °F (7 °C) and 34 °F (1 °C). ^Jecca

• A:Answer I purchased this a little over a year ago... and to answer your question - No. The power consumption is virtually the same. I am a licensed electrician and watch all the major appliances in my home carefully because I had a problem with Duke Energy overcharging me once.

• A:Answer While Samsung says you can reverse the door and provides directions in the manual - it also says it should be done by Samsung technicians at your own expense because otherwise the warranty is void.

Q: QuestionHas anyone actually come across and use the “Smarthome” USB WiFi dongle that would plug into the USB port on the top of the Freezer / Fridge door?

• A:Answer I tried and failed using the Smart Home Adapter that BB sells. Couldn't figure out how to get the freezer into "AP mode" to get set up with SmartThings. Samsung Support says it isn't supported, even though it is listed as supported in the app. Stupid.

Q: QuestionIf there is a power failure, does this recall the fridge vs freezer temperature setting it previously had when it comes back on? Trying to determine if it is reliable to have frozen contents and leave for vacation.

• A:Answer I just brought one at Home Depot, but it is on back order until Nov. 27 2020, and I think it is just a new model, but the Covid has made buying a freezer almost impossible, unless you are willing to wait a month or two to get one. I wish it had some reviews, but I took a chance to go ahead and buy one, because it is perfect for the space I need for it to fit in. I have a chest model, but not frost free, and that is why, I wanted this one, as it is frost free, and I can get to my old food first, with out having to dig them out. I will write a review on it, when I have it up and running for a few months, but like I said, my freezer will not be coming until Nov. 27. Hopes this helps
