Hi Lyn, Samsung increased the ferrous material in the stainless steel panels to make them magnetic. The magnetic models and those that are not, however, are not recorded in any way. The best way to learn is to ask a nearby business, like BestBuy if they can attach a magnet on the door. You might also call them and ask one of the representatives if they can attempt to avoid sending you in for a visit. Have a great day. -John
