Thanks for the responses. I went to the store to measure the doors, and I measured that they each need 1" extra clearance beyond the 32 1/8" width of the fridge to accommodate the hinge mechanism when open. But, Samsung sent a link to the manual and referred me to page 18, where the measurement I was looking for is #6 (I think). There, it says that each door hinge requires 1 1/4" clearance. In my kitchen one door will be next to the kitchen counter, and as this is a countertop depth fridge, there should be no problem with opening the door on that side. - at worst, I can move the fridge forward a little to make sure that the door on that side can open. The other side of the fridge will be next to a wall, so I will need to make sure there is 1 1/4" clearance between the fridge and the wall on that side, to enable that door to open (only 90 degrees given the configuration of the space I have, but that is enough). The space I have for the fridge is 33 7/8" wide, so I will just make it in terms of clearance (32 1/8" for the fridge + 1 1/4" to clear the door next to the wall = 33 3/8"). Close! Wish me luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The doors can open at least 90 degrees. Our is in a tight space, 32 1/2 inch opening. The cabinet of the refrigerator is flush with the wall and the doors come out past so they can open. We are very pleased with this refrigerator and it has plenty room. Hope this was helpful
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm happy to help with this, dolanly! First, I have this link (https://bit.ly/2TFSdgw) to the user manual for this model. Page 18 has a very useful diagram that shows the dimensions needed to open the doors properly. ^Jecca
