A:AnswerPersonal preference. I never have. If you have kids that climb I guess it couldn't hurt or if u have cabinets surrounding the fridge it may not be needed. I'd u do anchor, find a stud. It will rip out a drywall anchor.

Once it was delivered, I also looked because I swapped a Samsung out that did have the digital inverter that was too bulky in the small kitchen for another Samsung and upon delivery I noticed it has no information for having the digital inverter. I missed that in selecting this new one. Which, by the way fits much better in the space.
