“Does the ice maker automatically shut off when the ice bin is full?”

• Yes. I do not know how it senses that it’s full, but it stops making ice as soon as the bin is full to the top.

• Yes, our ice makers are designed to stop when they're full. There is two methods for this, depending on which type of ice maker your model has. Either an optical sensor detects when ice has piled too high, or a mechanical arm pushes upward when the ice piles high enough. Thank you for choosing Samsung for your home! ^Lena

• I think so but it takes a long time for the ice maker to make a full bin of ice and the noises are loud and annoying.
