“When refrigerator door is open does it require extra space on that side of the fridge? I have very limited space in my kitchen .”

When I open the door I only need an extra inch on the door’s side. (I also have a small galley kitchen.)

I replaced an old fridge from when I bought my house and I actually have more space and I would say no that you wouldn't need any extra space. The shape on this fridge is different than most standard fridges and in my opinion more space efficient.
