I wouldn't put it in the garage. You can if you like but I don't know if the cold temps will affect the delicate motor and mechanism. Everything now is digital so you have to take that into consideration.

I have it in my downstairs apartment but it is still inside the house.

Great question, Parry! Page 15 of the user manual (https://bit.ly/3sXgZFL) recommends the refrigerator be installed in a location in the temperature range of 50 °F (10 °C) to 109 °F (43 °C). ^Jecca

If your garage is so cold, why do you need a fridge? Just store your food items in the garage. Save lots of money.
