• It does not appear designed for outside use, and like any electrical item, it must be protected from rain.

• This is a great product and instead I would recommend another option since I have this in my apartment and it isn’t that loud. Especially for an open space just like a backyard, you will have trouble hearing.

• Would it work... yes... would I recommend, no way. Not meant for outdoor use. Humidity and potential moisture would destroy it.
