Easy enough to try and find out. Also, there are several sound shaping options the sound bar can do. One of them is for voice clarity. Scroll through the different settings of the soundbar and try them out.

Please try again later.The sub woofer can be placed Anywhere in the room - my system is in my bedroom & my sub woofer is under the head of the bed and the sound bar at the foot with the tv. However be aware the sub woofer output is limited to only lower frequencies so it may or may not help depending upon your hearing - you can adjust the sub woofer volume which may help.
